SES Recycling Addresses New E-Waste Security Bill
Electronic Recycling Company Seeks To Help Companies Secure Outdated Technology In Face of New Legislation
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA July 11, 2016 - SES - Secure E-Waste Solutions - has long worked to securely recycle e-waste across the San Diego area for residents and businesses alike, and a new bill in the House may increase the need for their services in the near future.
The Secure E-Waste Export and Recycling Act
On June 24, House Reps Gene Green and Paul Cook introduced the Secure E-Waste Export and Recycling Act in Washington. Better known as SEERA, the bill intends to stop U.S. e-waste exports to China and other countries known to counterfeit electronics. The impact of counterfeit electronics can be so serious, the U.S. House is looking for new ways to stop the problem, and secure destruction of e-waste in the U.S. is one of those.
"It's been clear for some time that exporting our electronic scrap is dangerous," said Chief Executive Officer, Larry Kurschner. "That's exactly why we custom design our services to meet the needs of businesses throughout the area. We want them to be secure in the knowledge that their e-waste has been properly destroyed and recycled right here in the U.S."
SES has a number of solutions for businesses looking to comply with industry regulations or upcoming government regulations like these. From deinstallation to product destruction, SES works hard to design a recycling program that meets the needs, no matter what the company.
Data Disaster Happens
The news is full of companies that have experienced data leaks, and some of those have undoubtedly come from outdated equipment. In many industries, data leaks aren't just a problem, they present serious security risks.
"At SES, we completely eliminate the potential for a security risk with our services. We offer full reporting materials, certificates of destruction, and even environmental impact reports. In fact, our clients can witness our secure data destruction from anywhere in the world thanks to our closed circuit cameras," said Larry Kurschner, CEO.
SEERA recognizes that e-waste can be a real problem throughout the United States, and SES is working to combat that with a complete line of services.
